Bamboo ear picks: an eco-friendly alternative to disposable cotton swabs (Q-tips)

Tired of seeing your bins overflowing with cotton swabs after every use? We have a simple, effective, and above all, eco-friendly solution: the bamboo ear pick. This small, reusable tool is ideal for cleaning your ears while being kind to the environment.

What is a bamboo ear pick?

The oriculi, also called a reusable ear pick, is a sustainable alternative to disposable cotton swabs. Made from bamboo, a natural and compostable material, this accessory is perfect for reducing waste while keeping your ears clean.

Unlike traditional cotton swabs, which tend to push wax deeper into the ear canal or leave cotton wool residue, the ear pick gently removes excess visible wax without the risk of buildup. It's simple, safe, and much more environmentally friendly. A quick reminder: it should only be used by an adult, and only in the outer ear.

Why choose an ear pick?

Adopting an ear pick is a simple gesture for the planet… and for your wallet! Here's why it's a brilliant idea:

Economical: no more buying boxes of cotton swabs every month. An ear pick can last for several years.

Zero waste: made from bamboo, it is biodegradable and can be composted at the end of its life.

Practical: lightweight and easy to use, it also takes up little space in your toiletry bag.

Health: it avoids irritation caused by cotton wool residue and prevents risks associated with over-cleaning.

It's a solution that simplifies your life while helping to reduce your ecological footprint.

How to use an ear pick?

You don't need to be an expert to use a bamboo ear pick, but a few precautions are necessary:

Hold the ear pick firmly by the stem.

Gently remove any excess wax visible in the outer ear.

After each use, rinse it with soap and water, then let it air dry.

Avoid going too far into the ear canal, and there you have it, the trick is done!

With the bamboo ear pick, cleaning your ears has never been so simple, eco-friendly, and economical. It's a small change in your routine, but a big step towards reducing your daily waste. So, why not give it a try?
