Instructions for use
1. Before insertion
Before first use and between each cycle, disinfect the disc by immersing it in boiling water for about 5 minutes, or by cleaning all its surfaces with 70% isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth. Then wash your hands and the disc with water and a mild, pH-balanced, fragrance-free, and oil-free soap. Rinse thoroughly.
2. Insertion
Relax and get into a comfortable position (sitting on the toilet, squatting, or with one leg raised). Fold the disc in half by joining the rims. Spread your labia and insert the back end (Fornix logo facing you) into the vaginal opening. Guide it towards your tailbone until the back rim is behind your cervix.
3. Positioning
With one finger, push the front rim as high as possible above the pubic bone. Check that the pubic bone is under the rim and that the cervix is inside the disc. When positioned correctly, you shouldn't feel anything.
4. Removal and cleaning (maximum 12 hours)
Wash your hands, pull the stem or rim until the disc is completely out. Empty into the toilet or shower. Rinse with cold water, then clean with warm water and a mild soap before reinserting.
5. End of cycle
Disinfect the disc (boiling water for 5 minutes or 70% isopropyl alcohol), let it dry completely and store it in the provided pouch or a well-ventilated place.
