This soy wax offers good adhesion to glass and good hold for essential oils and fatty fragrances.

Natural soy wax, paraffin-free, pesticide-free, non-GMO. Maximum recommended fragrance - 6%. Candles over 3.5 inches in diameter may require a double wick to ensure a complete melt bath. Works well with liquid or powder dyes. Especially well suited for candle making and massage candles in jars.

Instructions

  1. Heat the wax to a temperature between 71.1 and 93.3°C to melt it. Do not heat the wax above 93.3°C, it will discolor.
  2. Stir the wax regularly to reduce localized heating of the wax.
  3. Add ingredients other than fragrance and coloring
  4. Adding essential oils, fragrance and candle dye if desired - Stir
  5. Once the wax is melted, allow the wax to cool to a temperature of 48.9 to 73.8°C.
  6. Pouring the candles - Ensure the container is at room temperature or slightly warmer and pour the wax ensuring it is between 48.9 and 73.8°C.
  7. Allow the candle to cool and harden for at least 12 hours before burning.

    Making soy wax candles is easy if you follow a few basic steps. Start by melting the wax by heating it to between 160 and 200 degrees Fahrenheit (71.1 and 93.3 degrees Celsius), stirring regularly to avoid overheating. It is important not to exceed 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93.3 degrees Celsius) to preserve the natural color of the wax. Once melted, add your essential oils, fragrances, or colorants and mix well. Wait for the wax to cool to between 120 and 165 degrees Fahrenheit (48.9 and 73.8 degrees Celsius) before pouring it into your containers. Make sure your jars or molds are at room temperature or slightly warm for better adhesion. Let your candles harden for at least 12 hours before using them.

    For perfect candles, here are some helpful tips. If your candles are larger than 3.5 inches in diameter, use a double wick to ensure an even melt. Soy wax works especially well with glass containers, providing a smooth, crisp finish.
