A local SME at the heart of the G7: Eco Loco supplies the bags given to delegates.
Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec – June 9, 2025 — The G7 Summit will shine a spotlight on local expertise thanks to Eco Loco.
National recognition for a 100% local business
Eco Loco is proud to have been selected by the federal government to produce the tote bags distributed to the G7 Summit delegates. This is a meaningful recognition for the Quebec-based SME, known for its eco-conscious approach and fully local manufacturing.
At a time when local purchasing, sustainability, and ESG practices play an increasingly important role in procurement strategies, Eco Loco stands out as an inspiring example of what a homegrown company can achieve.
A strong message of confidence and sustainability
"We are proud of this contract and deeply grateful for this vote of confidence. It shows that we can offer high-quality promotional items that are useful, stylish, and environmentally friendly—without compromising on origin or ethical production” says Geneviève St-Amour, founder and owner of Eco Loco.
Eco-conscious manufacturing, rooted in Quebec
Every step of production was designed to maximize local benefits and minimize environmental impact.
- The exclusive textile is knitted in Montreal from recycled water bottles (RecyPUL™).
- The labels are made in Quebec.
- Printing is done in Montreal.
- Assembly takes place in Laval and the Laurentians.
The 750 bags produced diverted 3,130 plastic bottles from landfill by giving them a second life.
As more businesses and organizations seek to take concrete action in support of local purchasing and the environment, Eco Loco’s products stand out as a meaningful and coherent alternative to imported promotional goods. The company offers a short, transparent, and purpose-driven supply chain.
